I have a 2003 100th Aniversary Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom. Got it brand new back in 03 after I retired had 8 miles on it when I picked it up, it has about 15,000 now. 10,000 of them I put in Puerto Rico I lived there for 2 years from 2004 to 2006 love to ride been doing it since Iwas 16 nothing better than the wind thru your hair as you ride a lonley high way Ride on brother and dont worry there is 2 kinds of riders in the world. I have actually been wanting to get a bike for a while now. Never rode before so would probably have to take a riders course or two. I think you made a good decision by going with the smaller cc first. I would start with a 250 then move to a 600 after feeling more comfortable.
