I don't know about Belkin but you should be able to go to the help section of they're website to find out. You'll probably have to go into your router setup again through your computer, which scares the hell out of me. Good luck
Don't be mad. Everything I post is "lol."
i put my PS3 in the DMZ on my router. the absolute simplest solution is to hardwire your PS3 if at all possible. it will automatically be NAT 1 or 2 if it's wired. the port numbers can be found on the playstation website in the tech support section though if opening ports is your only solution. You can call Belkin tech support and they can walk you through step by step on how to open ports so long as you get the list from playstation first
Gaming is staying up 'til 3am to earn a trophy that isn't real.......BUT IS
here's the port numbers from the sony site:
TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080
UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070
now just call up Belkin and they'll walk you through the rest

I'm a little confused, are you just trying to connect wirelessly to your router to get out to the internet, or are you trying to use your PS3 as some kind of makeshift server?
I ask because, if your just trying to hit the web with your PS3, there is really no reason to need to NAT anything. As for opening ports, I don't see why you need to do this either, unless your sharing stuff from your PS3 to everyone on the interwebz... which in itself, probably not a great idea, and if you are, give me your IP address... :o :ugeek:

some games will give you a little warning if your NAT type is 3. it says some online play functions may not work properly and in some cases cause loss of connection. Sony recommends opening the ports i listed for optimal online gameplay. I just go with wired if i can so i don't have to worry about it.

even with a 360 wired I would still have NAT issues in the past. Just open the ports that MS and Sony recommend for Live and PSN and you should be set. Also for any PC games you play on a regular baseis this is recommended.Originally Posted by MaximusR3
Nat comes into play because of your router and protocol...A MIMO router will fix all NAT issues... I have 3 xbox 360s a ps3 , 2 laptops , a psp, and a gaming desktop all going and online at the same time and have all open nat

Once again, I don't really see the need to punch holes in your firewall. I have been running my ps3 for over a year with no config changes to my firewall, and haven't had any issue using any function.
