Asian Carp closing in on Lake Michigan

These fish are devastating! I have seen them in the Illinois River. I have had some 5-10lb jump in the boat while running through schools of them! I don't even take bait to the river with me. I just troll through the shallows until I get some to jump in the boat to cut up for bait.

Hope they get these damn things taken care of fast. I sure don't want them down here in the Finger Lakes. We all ready have other problems killing off the fish. They (Asian Carp) probably got in Lake Michigan by some dumb ass catching some and dumping it in Michigan's waters or into feeds that feed Michigan.

From what I have found it wasn't Lake Michigan that caught on fire. It was the Cuyahoga River that caught fire. This all took place back in 1969 and was caused by molten sparks from a passing rail car which set fire to oil and chemical soaked debris floating on the river . The dirty area was near Cleveland which branded it the "Dirty City".
So, this would affect Lake Erie and not Michigan. I could of been reading this wrong to. If anyone finds more info please share. That is an interesting topic Squid brought up. Here is a like where I got my info...

I learned something today. I had never heard that before.
I believe I am more shocked that squid posted about something other than stealing!

I say the Rem 1100 with some size 6-8 shot shells would be better for these things.
