As far as the avatar you will have to change that Up above called "user control panel" right below "board index". As far as posting pictures check out this tutorial that I made HERE. You can also upload them below this box when your typing your message look below "save, preview, and submit" There is another tab call "upload attachment." I hope this helps if not I can help and so can plenty of others on here.
