    40ft Optimus Prime

Visitors to China's Green Dream Park—not far from the 2008 Olympics' "Bird's Nest" stadium—are currently being greeted by a 40-foot tall, six ton Optimus Prime made from five truckloads of car and truck spare parts. Take that, Gundam.

The park opens Friday, and features other environmentally friendly attractions designed to get visitors thinking green. Of course, were I face to face with this behemoth, I'd only be thinking a) how far away is Megatron, and b) where's the nearest eco-conscious hiding place? [CNET]

one has to wonder how long did it take to build Optimus, with him being 40 ft tall

That's awesome. It would be cool as hell if he actually moved by remote control.
