    Controller charging docks?

Does anyone use or have experience with chargers like these:

I'm curious if these are worth the investment or if you're better off just charging them off your PS3 with the standard USB cable.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

just plug them into your PC or laptop, so you don't have to keep your PS3 running.

Yeah, I do that sometimes. Just wondering if these docks offer any faster charging capability (though common sense says probably not).

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

    Re: Controller charging docks?

i have an energizer on and i must say, it is nice to have one, especially since i never have to worry about a dead controller. Being able to charge while the PS3 is off and when you aren't in range of or don't want to use a computer USB port is helpful. It also gives you a tidy place to store your controllers, which was one of my main motivations to get one. They don't seem to charge any faster than the Ps3 does so you aren't saving as far as time goes, but the one i have has 2 addition usb ports so in addition to charging the controllers, you can be charging a headset, another controller or two, or anything else that charges via USB.

nice luxury but is just that, a luxury
