Second 'James Bond' video game slated for release this year

Activision will release a second video game this holiday featuring iconic spy James Bond.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone will be available on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo DS.

The game will feature voice acting from leading man Daniel Craig and the newest Bond girl, singer Joss Stone. She will also contribute music to the game's soundtrack.

Blood Stone will feature a mix of cover-based firefights, melee combat and intense driving sequence, says a statement from Activision. Along with the single-player story, the game also features a 16-person multiplayer mode.

Blood Stone is being developed by Bizarre Creations, the studio behind Blur, Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars. The development team has some experience with shooters, creating 2008's The Club for publisher Sega.

Activision is also releasing a remake of the Nintendo 64 classic GoldenEye for the Wii later this year. Check out our E3 preview of GoldenEye for more details.

ewwwww I have my doubts about this one... The last one was way ahead of it's time, and this one might be behind it, ending 007 gaming greatness.

I think this one looks better than the golden eye reboot and with Bizarre Creations behind it at least we'll know the vehicle aspects should be pretty top notch

its rough that much is for sure, they need to polish it a bit more... but it does have potential.

I remember plying James Bond on PS1 which was great fun for hours on end.

Yeah it must have been that one but when was it released? I looked it up and it said 2000? But that can't be right cos I remember playing James Bond PS1 round about mid to late 90's?

No that can't be it either...I split up with my first husband at the beginning of '99 and we used to play it for hours lol!

Maybe we should have put the Playstation remote down and concentrated more on other things ...and perhaps we would still be together?

No lol..it was definitely James Bond and we had a Sega Mega Drive and PS1 but we never had Nintendo 64.

roger was great and pierce revived the series after what that idiot did to it, If anyone deserves a letter bomb its dalton :x :x :x .

Yeah I never actually watched the Tim Dalton one..had no interest.

But I prefer the more action men versions of JB personally...gimme Sean Connery and Daniel Craig any day! 8-)

I usually play these when they come out and find them pretty entertaining. I'll be looking forward to see the multiplayer, never played bond online.
BTW Sean Connery is still the best but Daniel Craig is making some serious headway in my book.
