    Guardsman possibly getting 16 years in jail

    An Air National Guardsman is possibly getting 16 years in jail for videotaping a cop!! Here's the story!

    It's not that the video is in public domain, it's the way he obtained the video. The way the scripture reads on this law, means that we're ALL fucked if they want to prosecute under this law.

    He deserved the ticket. To be treated this way though is wrong. If they are so worried about confiscate the tape and have YouTube take it down.

    Yes he deserved the ticket, but what they are prosecuting for is what the wiretap law says in the scripture. He was wearing a device which records video and voice, he didn't tell the cop he was wearing it and recording. Then posting it without anyone's consent. This is what I find messed up about this law, It is too general, and the way it reads any one who records anything, specially recording law enforcement, without consent is liable. It's BS! Do we need press/reporter id in order to publish things like these?
