As you all have probably seen or heard by now, Sega is making a new Sonic that will be picking up where Sonic and Knuckles left off going back to the traditional side-scrolling high speed roots. Much like the new Donkey Kong Country game Nintendo is working, this will be much like the original series with an HD facelift. This first one is episode 1 so they plan to make a couple installments and it will be a downloadable game on pretty much every platform, from PSN to iPhone and anything between

i say "rumored" because Sega hasn't officially acknowledged them but it still seems pretty clear what they are

Pretty HD graphics + overdue return to old school style = win in my book

now this screen shot is most interesting and also has the most potential to be fake

if this is legit then the game will cost about $5, or £3 for you i think Lady. Now if the length of these episodes are about the length of the old games then that would be a sweet deal. One can only hope
