they've been working on this one for a while now, since 2008 officially but not until 2009 did they have a full team working on it, i hope we see some sort of release date soon

here's a little on the story from Wikipedia:

The story takes place in the year 3015 set on a planet called Deshler, near the end of the Third Succession War, set before the events of the original MechWarrior and right before Hanse Davion comes into power. The main protagonist is Adrian Khol, fourth son of the noble family who rules Deshler in the name of House Davion. Although in training as a MechWarrior, Adrian never takes his training and duties seriously, until the day his entire family is wiped out during the war. Spared from the massacre during a make-up test for mech training, Adrian eventually changes his thinking and takes up responsibility against the rebels who killed his family and takes his place as successor of the family throne

so it is a prequel to the original mechwarrior storyline

mmmm Batlletech.....good times with that game. Really interested in what they do with Mechwarrior. As for me if they have the clans in the game again as for a multiplayer option or campaign. Then i shall serve with my clan brethern in Clan Jade Falcon. mmmm

Man another classic game they need to just redo it and put the old books out also to get new fans. I did not like the last one on the xbox need a flight sim version of the old computer games. Another one that needs to be put out is x-wing that would be great to have 12 -18 x-wing vs tie fighters on live.

Oooo X-Wing, havent played that classic in a long while. I agree with u Tut. That would be great to do 8 on 8 X-Wing and other rebel fighters vs tie fighters and other imperial fighters. Just epic right there.
