Gaming is staying up 'til 3am to earn a trophy that isn't real.......BUT IS
I've had the same background for 7 years lol. I have tried to change it a few times but can't get used to anything else :|

I finally splurged on an Alienware. But my kids have it looking like a rainbow. The keyboard is 4 different colors =\ every alien head is a diff color and the crap I get from them when I try to make it all one color is just crazy.Originally Posted by saviger
I did my Alienware splurge 3 years ago with a M9700, it still runs great with Ubuntu Linux with all the visualizations on full blast. It still works great for everyday computing, and most games.Originally Posted by Bull3tBait
I recently upgraded to a cheaper HP with 6g of ram and a Intel i7 quadcore, and a 7500rpm HDD, so i can run multiple Virtual Machines for school and what not. All for only 599 on sale at my local BestBuy!
I use the one ABN made. it's pretty awesome
Saviger, I assume that is a video of your desktop? It's always nice to see an Ubuntu supporter (or any linux supporter for that matter). Here is my current wallpaper. It changes every couple of weeks but this one is a picture I took of the Torres del Paine while on a little vacation in Patagonia.
I dual boot linux fedora and support oracle linux oel5.0 if that counts. id rather run windows 7 on my gaming machine for obvious reasons.Originally Posted by phillywillis

Mine is the Alienware m17x. I customized it and wow is it sweet, and fast. Has dual graphic cards in it too and remarkably it stays so cool. My last HP got so hot the motherboard malfunctioned (twice). The thing weighs a ton tho and last time I was TDY lugging that thing around the airport I somehow managed to pinch a nerve in my neck. I'm going to get a backpack for it next I think. I just got the matching Alienware mouse and headset cuz I'm a nerd like thatOriginally Posted by saviger
Anon anyone?
I have a bunch, that rotate every 5 minutes. I use only HD quality background images, because I have an ATI HD video card and a 1080p hd monitor on my DELL Studio.

I had the Ghostbusters "No Ghost" logo on mine for a long time. And before that was the Gears Red Cog and Skull. Now I have the USMC Clan Symbol that was made a while back. I love it! Here it is:
