Rooted Eris

Well since the government made jailbreaking legal I decided to root my Droid Eris. The Eris was never supposed to get froyo. I am happy to report that I am running kaosfroyo on my phone. I am also benching higher then the Moto Droid. Kinda funny that I am because I spent so much less on it.
Anyone that has an Eris I can help you if you want to go that route.

LOLOLOLOL just seen this again as I forgot about it LOL. I jailbroke my phone and put a custom operating system on it. Any better???

It looks like that they are working on an easier way to do it. They are saying it is easier from the 2.1 software. Hope this helps for you. Also check this out.
