Issues with Achievements

Ok so I have a number of achievements that i clearly have got but not actually registered on my Live profile..I didnt recieve anything even though i did what i was supposed to ... Anybody else have issues? Oh and i had to complete 1 level on legenadry co op campaign 3 times in order to get the achievement and completion for it as it basically said i never did it but it unlocked the next map..This is frustrating

Sometimes brand new games will glitch achievements a bit. Especially in multi-player co-op situations. Sometimes you'll notice someone else getting credit for your kills and stuff too. I didn't have any problems with the ones I've gotten so far.

As Spyder says it happens sometimes with new games and when they add DLC that puts more achievements out there. It happened to me when BC2 put out the achievements for the SPECACT stuff. I did everything I was supposed to with all of the SPECACT weapons to get all 4 achievements but I think it wasn't until the next update or a couple updates after that before the achievements finally popped up.

What I think is crazy is there are a bunch of achievements in Reach that you can get in a custom firefight game. I had written those off as "well I'm never gonna get those ones" and I was shocked when goofing around in this custom match they were popping up. I think I got 5 in there. You also get two achievements just for uploading a file to your file share and then recommending that file to your friends. (that's what that message was about for those of you that got one from me saying I was recommending a file).

On another note.... how about you and spyder coming on around 9 pm instead of so close to midnight on weekdays. Geez...I get the invites and i'm always in the middle of an intense firefight or invasion. And right before I'm going to bed too.

No way Bullet I was on at 945 and so was spyder lol..I spammed you and everyone else with invites after every match also lol...you had ample time to respond or send a message so no excuses Ms Bait. I fully expect you to participate next time..lol

Was it really 945? Dang, time really is getting away from me. I was getting spammed from you and spyder Was in some firefights with Slayer and Thunder and then we were building a map in Forge and trying to test it out. Then it was more firefights to get some daily challenges. And Ok OK. I will participate next time. If I'm in a match when you invite I will finish it out then join. If i'm in Co-op however, that may take a little longer for me to get there, but I'll join soon as I'm able.

And yeah, the custom firefight achievements actually made them fun for me. I was dinking around with a friend, and we did that 300% speed, 10% gravity bit, just randomly running around and absolutely destroying mobs. It was pretty awesome. I think it only works on the point ones, though, and you'll have to do the legendary one legit. Bring on Gruntpocolypse.

OK I'll take that impending doom warning to heart.

The custom firefight we had set up had ALL of the skulls activated. We had the invulnerability, unlimited ammo and the speed and unlimited jetpacking. We got ThunderRadish (SEE, SEE I do play with USMG members) in it last nite but he had to go pick up his daughter like halfway through it. At least he got an achievement or two. What legendary one are you talking about? I got the following in the custom: Crowd Control (Killionaire Medal), Blaze of Glory (200k Pts), Lucky Me (Triple Kill while Jetpacking), Fire Starter (50k Pts), and A Spoonful of Blamite (Kill 10 with Supercombine Explosion). I will have to say it is very gratifying to be able to go up to a Hunter and pwn him when I know damn well I will die like 30 times before taking one out in the campaign.

The only two I'm not sure where I got them from (if it was the custom or not) is: Game, Set, Match (Complete Firefight on Legendary w/o dying) and Score Attack (15k pts in Score Attk Firefight Matchmaking).

My friend sets up our matches so i have no idea what I'm getting into once the game starts. Dosn't really matter much to me since I get rolled anyways no matter what we're in.

I got 3 of them last nite and the headshots was not one for me either. I think I'm going to do the custom firefight to get the 1,000,000 point achievement done. With all the kill hogs out there it would be really hard to get that in a regular match. Will have to set it up like the others but with unlimited game time. Took me forever to get the Grunts in the rocket matches because someone always beat me to pulling the trigger on the landing spot when they jump ship.

I have an XBOX Pro but I upgraded the HD to 250G. Could you send a link to what you found? So far I'm not having any problems that I know of.

Thanks for posting that link. I got my xbox in 2009 and it implies that the issue is with drive size. Guess we will see. Worst thing I get is horrendous Lag when I'm in my custom firefight (but that was to be expected )

lol, sorry. Not sure about the IGN recommendation, but I used it, got the 1 mil and legendary completion in under 10 minutes. Basically, it's unlimited rockets, invincibility, and unlimited jet-pack. Lots of multi-kills.



My issue achievement is now "If they came to hear me beg." You're supposed to assassinate an Elite to stop from dying due to fall height. Best place to do it is the final mission, right at the get-go. Is the Pillar of Autumn one.

Last night I got to the point where I hit 14 in a row. 2 didn't count because they ended up with the mob moving, and me punching him in the face to kill him. 2 more had me getting "assassination" tags, like Halo 3 had...the ninja one, not the knife one from Reach. 1 had me killing him but still dying. That leaves the other 9 that I actually got the assassination animation.....jump on his shoulders, climb up and stab him, think there was a neck break one. Still no achievement. The worst part is that I can do it, miss him, and die...then do it exactly 100% the same, hit it, and not get the achievement.

Absolute 100% beginning. When you run through the cliff and see the ship. There is 1 elite and 3 grunts pathing around a truck at the bottom of a cliff.

I got the "If you've come to hear me beg" achievement. It took me a few hours but it was a real "I'm awesome" moment when i got it.
I have issues with some of the Skyrim achievements, The College of Mages, The Dark Brotherhood, The Companions and the Thieves Guild questlines are all completed and I got the achievements...but they are missing from the main list.
