I thought so too until I read the comment section of the article. Guys were making it seem like this is a kitchen staple.

I've had some! My daughter loves to make pancakes so we saw it and gave it a try. It's now bad, but I do like her homemade pancakes better. It's good to take on vacation if you have a mini-kitchen in your room, cause of the quick and easy cleanup!

My wife says she's going to buy one every time we go to the store, but never does. I've heard good things from a friend though, it's pretty good for not having to do anything but fry them.
