I was cleaning up the basement this evening, and I ran across a box of some old software and games. I found a couple of oldies but goodies in there: Rainbox Six: Rogue Spear, Star Wars: Dark Forces, and Dark Forces II (all for the PC) Those were some of my earliest first-person shooters.
What about the rest of you? What are the earliest FPS' you played and what platform :?:

Doom and Castle Wolfenstien where the 2 that I sunk hours and hours into on the cpu. Other than that the 1st Halo on XboX I wasted 100's of hr's playing that damn game... I 100% certain that is ALL we did in Tech School was play Halo... There where many many others but those where the 1st ones that come to mind.
On this side or the other, we will meet once again.

Doom and Duke Nukem. We had a computer electronics class in high school where the teacher would leave after showing us what to do and we would just play Doom for that hour. Have a lan party best class I ever signed up for.
Oh and I can't forget Contra I loved that game. Plus goldeneye N64 was the best game at that time I believe.

Doom. A friend of mine was in Running Start, and we figured out how to link in to the college server from our high school computer classroom.
Also, Goldeneye....all night goldeneye tournaments. Giggity.

like everyone else, i started with Doom and Doom II. Then i got into doom modding to make custom maps and character skins and such. Quake and Descent came after that. Everything used to be on PC back then. First console based FPS was turok and goldeneye on the 64

I forgot all about those two. I played a crapload of hours on those as well. I wore out my PC playing Unreal.
