People are crazy
At least two handgun wielding robbers broke into a Baltimore, Maryland area GameStop Saturday night and made off with more than 100 copies of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops due out on November 9.
The robbers waited until just before the GameStop was about to close on Saturday night before breaking in and taking off with four cases full of Call of Duty: Black Ops, game systems and cash. Two customers walked into the store during the robbery but were forced into a storage area and were unhurt along with the employees of the store.
This is the second time a GameStop was robbed in the same county in the last three weeks leading local Harford County Sheriff's office to believe it was the same group of criminals.
The robbers fled in a late-model white minivan with the items and local police are currently trying to track them down. Hopefully this won't lead to any disappointed fans of the games who had placed their pre-orders for the game at the store that was victimized.
This isn't the first crime related to what is being billed as the biggest game of the year either. A thief broke into an Alabama pressing plant in mid-October and made off with copies of the game. This lead to the game being spread illegally on file sharing sites.
Call of Duty: Black Ops launches for the PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS this Tuesday.
