Thumbs up Sony HT-SS360 Home Theater Review

I just purchased this system as a belated Christmas present to myself. The setup was very easy. Sony uses a proprietary connection on the receiver end of the speaker wire, which I don't particularly like, but it works fine. The documentation is kinda vague in regards to the wireless speakers though. This system does SUPPORT it, but does not come with the components for it. There are additional parts you have to purchase to make the wireless speakers work.

The sound is great, and the bass is good, but not overly impressive. The system does come with a very cool setup microphone. You place the microphone in the most centralized area for listening. Then the system sends test tones through the speakers and automatically sets the speakers up for volume, etc.

I got it on Amazon for $300. Decent system for the price, so I would have to give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Pretty sure that all sony receivers come with the microphone self-check now. It's pretty tight.
