The ARROGANCE of Game Stop!!

HelloGuys and Lady...lol, I know I am a bit off and on, on here but this has been an issue of mine for a while. So I wasnt sure if I wanted DC Universe, so I never pre ordered it. Now I rarely pre-order games unless I consider it a must have, and even then its still rare I do..Know I just got off work and called a few local GS and they all were pretty much sold out unless you pre-ordered. Now my issue is with the way the lil punk ass CSR's make it seem as though, I obviously must not be in the know, and am Uber loser for not pre-ordering or getting their early enough. They have done this several times before with other games that i have not pre-ordered but I just let it go. This time I didnt...I mean "Who the hell do you think you are Game Stop, I can easily go to Wal-Mart(Which is where I bought it from) who has a stock pile of games as well as target and etc...." I happen to go to Game stop because their Conglomerate Effing Corporation that cares nothing about Gamers actually caters to video games , just so happens I play video games. It's a vicious circle.... I just needed to vent because this company thinks they are the end all be all to Video games, As if you dont pre order it here you cant get it anywhere, which is BS...What they need to realize is that people shop there and try to give them their (our) business because they are supposed to be knowledgeable about the merchandise in which they sell.........However I have no problem going to Wal Mart and having some old lady in electronics just hand me the game without any of the chit chat about how she thinks the gameplay is.................lol

I buy all my games from Gamestop, but the gamestop i buy my games from is at the PX so they know how to treat us and they are very kind and respectful. Now onto the gamestop off post, bunch of snooby ass people who dont know what i can do to them if they piss me off. The only people i see working at the off post gamestop is teenagers and they are just punk ass bitches. When i leave the army later this year i will be goin to Bestbuy or target as i get treated a whole lot better like the on post gamestop. So i agree with you Rookie, gamestop needs to correct this issue or i will never step inside a gamestop again and just order it online.

What I have noticed lately is that their Trade-In prices are getting really sucky! My wife bought a game for her DS for around $20 and traded it in about 3 or 4 days later and she only got like $4 for the trade in! WTF?!

I know what you mean Rook, but from what I've played during the DC universe Beta, and them charging per month to play the game, and not just get to play for free after buying it... Well needless to say, I am the one of many who will not be purchasing this game. And I have, of course bought many games from Target / Walmart in the past if I hadn't pre-ordered. But I do Pre-Order there cause of their new points system they got goin. I already got a mario key chain. LOL

I buy my games at both. Just depends on weather or not Gamestop on base is open or closed. I have somewhat a good customer/store manager and employees relationship. I know all the guys there, and they helped me out with some good deals. I pretty much go to Gamestop just to talk about gaming and not get bothered from people that dont realky now what they are talking about half the time. At walmart here near Ft. Jackson, people there are just crazy. But I guess every store is different, when it comes to trade-ins i trade them in for games, and I also have the Powere points pro so i get points for trade-ins as well. I use the points to get discounts on games.

I DO NOT shop at Target. They (corporate people) don't support the troops nor do they allow the Salvation Army to do the red kettle/bell ringing they do. And they don't carry any items (ie. magnets, shirts, etc.) that have anything to do with supporting our troops. Therefore I will not shop there! Semper Fi!!

I agree with Warhammer, i do shop their but its only for small things. Target is the only major buisness that doesnt support the troops. And it seems they hire people who dont support us as well cuz i walked into Target in uniform and majority of the people who worked there just stared at me and gave me an evil look like i was doing something wrong. The manager even came up to me and asked me to leave becuz i was in UNIFORM. WTF TARGET

I don't really know why Target is that way Lady. I have heard that they are a French based owned company, and that's why they don't support us. Don't know if that's true or not, but I do know they don't support us! Semper Fi!!

I was about to destroy the girl at gamestop over the phone.

I called in to find out about trading in Black ops ps3 for xbox. (I know...BLASPHEMY!, but im fed up with the framerate issues)

So she said I could trade it in for credit towards the xbox one.
"Well, whats the difference?, they are the same game." I query
"It would cost you about $30-40 more to trade it in"

WTF!!!! Are you serious??? That blows my mind! AND I can guarantee that my ps3 copy is in way better condition than any coaster they would try to pawn off on me.

I'm kind of pissed right now, I think ill just go to walmart and get it to calm myself.

So you're pissed that they wouldn't just straight trade it across? Sorry, but that's just an asinine assumption. They never give more than 35 bucks in trade-in value towards a game, and brand new games, used, generally only get a 5-10 dollar reduction in price. If you think you can hand them one game, and they'll just hand you the other as a direct swap, then you were setting yourself up for failure from the get-go.

When you buy it you get a free 30 days, A Subscription fee doesnt bother me much its not like its a car payment....$15 bucks means 2 less times I eat lunch out this month ( Not that I am not still gonna pay for lunch just an example is all)........No Biggie.......If a game is worth it, and so far it is...I dont mind. I compare the PSN which is free, to the XBOX Live service which is pay to play........I love my XBOX Live service and its well worth paying for, If PSN had a pay option that assured me dedicated servers I would be all over paying that too......Hell I cant even play COD Black Ops sometimes without just saying Ef' It (COD is just 1 of many examples)...

I good friend of mine Deon (PSN:Ruthlessking74-not a clan member plays with me sometimes when we are all in groups) refuses to get an XBOX because he says he will not pay a subscription fee to play online. Now Granted if you dont want to buy an Xbox, or pay sub fees thats your right. But as I always say. If paying a subscription fee is your sole reasoning for not purchasing a console or a game, well if you cant afford a few bucks a month, then obviously you shouldnt be playing video games in the First place because you have WAY more important things you should be Prioritizing in your life........lol

p.s. I mean No Dis respect in anyway with this post....But if people want to take it that way I am 6'3" 225 and always armed (as per my occupation) so bring it...............lol......J/K....Lighten up clan..........

Target was my hometown store, before Walmart came along. They used to be the Dayton Hudson Corporation, eventually just becoming the Target Corp.

Founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1902 as the Dayton Dry Goods Company. In 1962, the company opened its first Target store in nearby Roseville. Target grew and eventually became the largest division of Dayton Hudson Corporation, culminating in the company changing its name to Target Corporation in 2000. As of May 2010, the company has opened stores in every state except Vermont, operating as Target or SuperTarget. Target is the second largest discount retailer in the United States, behind Walmart. The company is ranked at number 30 on the Fortune 500 as of 2010, and is a component of the Standard & Poor's 500 index. The company licenses its bullseye trademark to Wesfarmers, owners of the separate Target Australia chain.
On January 13, 2011, Target announced its expansion into Canada. Target will operate 100 to 150 stores in Canada by 2014, through its purchase of leaseholds from the Canadian chain Zellers.
Target has never been in France, nor are they French, nor do they sell, or occupy anything French, unless, we're talking about French Canadian..

I don't know where you would hear such non-sense.

http://sites.target.com/site/en/corp...d=PRD03-001461

Furthermore, Target contributes large sums of money to several military funds, and organizations, just a few named below.
• The Wall That Heals – Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund
• Operation Gratitude, United Through Reading, Our Military Kids
• Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
• Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF)

In fact, the Target Corporation donates a tremendous amount of money to charitable causes every year, and in both 2002 and 2003 they topped Forbes magazine's list of "America's Most Philanthropic Companies." Among the many organizations to which Target donates are veteran-related causes, including exhibits like the one for which Mr. Forrey was seeking a contribution:
For more information you can see : www.target.com/veterans.

The 1 thing that is correct, is the banning of Salvation Army Solicitors from the front of their stores..
