ok yesterday morn started with a earthquake 60-70 miles south of us ....7.6 thats a big one!!! woke me up cause i thought someone was shaking the shit out of my bunk at freaking 0130 in the morn!! so the day go on and as im heading over to pick up my laundry a rocket zooms over head and explodes on the other side of a barrier about 60 ish feet away... wasn't a very loud when it exploded and showered shrapnel on fire ....i though who the hell smuggled fire works out here??(cause that's what it looked like) then i realized that it was a rocket attack and the siren started to go off.... i was out in the open and ran to a bunker...and started to head back to my tent 's bunker and when i got back Blamo! another hit!!! much louder ..i was told later that the second one was a mortar!!...so im chatting with a friend and this guy we work with walk up out of the blue ....balling his eyes out...this is a grown man...me and my bud though he was joking or something. but quickly realized something was wrong?? i asked him what was wrong and he said that the first rocket that hit was the chow hall line waiting to get in and hit about 6 feet in front of him! he was totally freaking out on us.. he wasn't mentality prepare for flying body parts !! it must have scared the shit out of him... so i calmed him down and told him to go lay down and i would come get him when our boss came with a vehicle to take him to the doc's ...his ears where still ringing from the explosion and he was very unstable.. so after we got him to calm down and lay down we hear the MP's driving around telling every one to lock and load cause NOW we are under ground attack!!..uggghh..why do these idiots attach a post of this size ..they got maybe 8-10 and we have 8000-10000 armed people on post....hmm duhhhh.. so after they call all clear we find out that a couple of service members and US contractors got hit...still have heard any updates ..and to top off such a glorious and wonderful day it rained its ass off later on that night ....what fun ...mudd city!! ...well please keep the service members and contractors in your thoughts and prayers please!
