    3D TV Anyone?

Has anyone actually got a 3D tv yet for gaming and Blu ray?

Want to know what it's like?

I don't get brand new electronics until they're out for about a year or so, have gotten cheaper, and there's better variety/quality. Except for my xbox, of course. That's the only major electronic I've had to trend in on.

I still remember the HD-DVD fiasco.

    3D TV advice

i have the 46 in Samsung 3D LED Tv, works great for gaming in 3D, issues: if you want the 3D excperience in hD, depeding of the brand you get also depends on the price for the 3D Glass, the samsung only has one pair and it does not come withthe Tv they are 150 a pair. I bought it back in Feb., but something happend to the tv either my kids did something to it or the screen just did it on its own, but four big thick lines went up and down then spread to the right connected each line. then it would shut of and on but never came on, then it would beep. so i took it to best buy i didnt have the in store replacement warrenty because i bought right off the self but i have the manufacture warranty and i will wave my tv back in 2 to 3 weeks. the screens are very sencable so if you have kids put it on a stand or a wall mount. i also have the 3D Blue Disc player as well, ONLY thing you will need for the complete 3d Experice are 3D HDMI cords that are 3D capabile. they make movies that you watch seem like your living it.

best game to play in 3Dblack ops is a must, in 3D the gun seems like you actully looking down site, issue with any scope it gets a little fuzzy, playing any time of racing game such as blur or need for speed hot pursuit it jsust insane . I havent tried my sports games. but will do when i get my tv back.

Maybe this might help everyone on the site.

    3D wow !

I was very against getting into the whole 3D thing. I grow up watching several movies at the theater in 3D back in the 70's , you know those green and red lens glasses. And before I could even enjoy it fully "POOF!" gone . No more 3D. So of course this time around I said to my self it will soon go "POOF!" again, so why even give it much attention. I than started to notice a lot of chatter online and amongst various electronic stores that 3D was here to stay . So I started to look into 3D sets I came across a very good deal at a local electronic store. Sharp Aquos led 3d 240hz 60" , with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. So I went ahead and purchased it . All I can say C.O.D B.O, Socom 4 .Grand Turismo 5 ang Killzone3 look amazing .3D gives gaming a big boost in depth perception . I have only seen one 3d movie 'Tangled " which I rented through the PSN so its only in HD 3D not Bluray 3D. It still looks amazing. So my final thoughts on the 3D experience is . If you can afford it than get it . Will worth it. Just remember you will need a 3D Bluray player (PS3) and a 3d capable HDMI cable and finally 3D glasses. Try to find a combo package with glasses included. Good luck and I hope this was helpful. Only negative is buying 3D bluray movies at 30 bucks a pop or higher , unless you find them used on websites like amazon.

    New 3D ready receiver

I just purchased a yamaha rx a3000 AV receiver 3D ready with dolby plz ll / presence with a whole bunch of other decoding styles .It allowed me to turn my 7.2 to 9.2 surround system by adding 2 additional speakers high left /high right. right above the front L/R speakers. All I can say is "WOW!" what a difference it makes I did not realize how much it adds to the room. You can actually hear planes, helicopters and rain flying over your head and makes rain feel like its hitting your roof. It will definitely make the 3D experience great . If your looking to upgrade your receiver try to find one that has Dolby Prologic plz ll2 or supports presence speaker set up.

My wife finally bought me a 3d tv yesterday for my birthday. This thing is awesome, however black Ops is harder to play in 3d, but ghost recon, and uncharted 3 are very fun to play. She got me a 32 inch Vizio with Internet apps. I'm really enjoying streaming youtube, netflix and vudu straight from the tv.

The 50 inch I just posted has it. And I made sure it came with rechargable. Some glasses take batteries.

It may be time to upgrade my receiver. I've used Yamaha's since 1990.
