    NFS shift

Good News race fans!!! I know Im a little late, but I just got to testing the latest build for Need for Speed Shift. The patch 1.03 came out a week or so ago. After building my knew virtual driving and flight chair I've been testing the latest patch and dlc. Over-all driving physics for all cars is greatly improved in some areas like:
car weight is now heavier fealing and harder to scoop and flip apponents
grip now feels grippy on upgraded tires and not so much on lower grade tires
frame rates are great and slow down on some tracks with full grid are gone
the dlc cars are pretty epic
over-all handling feels mutch more predictable( I'm able now to get away with some acrobatic driving)
even more has been done to suspensions to get a more proper feel and not so bouncy unless you tune it to be bouncy.
AI has finaly started to take driving lessons. Not as mutch ziggy zaggy to block you every time. They seem to react more realistacly although at times they wont hesitate to throw you into a wall or off a curve.
I just did some testing on damage. Damage now seems to have more effect on cars drivability for both player and AI. Before I could hit every driver and wall and still run a straight line at 190 mph. You could flip and destroy an AI car and they would still win or place. Not anymore. I just spent an hour playin like a demo derby to test and the damage model and physics now feels better, still not toooo realistic but better.

So there are so many things improved that I,ve descided to run a clean re-install of it and give the career mode another go. Before a lot of the career was nearly unplayable do to tweeks that needed to be done. during my testing I tried a few of these and they were now great to race. So, for at least for the next few days or so that's where I'l be.
Just thought I'd post this news for those who have and enjoy NFS. I'm treating it like a re-release since I was so excited, then let down by its release quality.
There is still a bunch of realy miner things they can improve on( some real GT rule to start), but I love this company and have raced there other products for pc ( GTR2, GTR evolution). Until Codemasters gives us F1 2010 in Sep., this is the consoles top racer.
Come out to the track for a spin with me. I'll set up some private races with mix AI and players. Did I mention that my new driving seat has a beer holder!!!?!

    Re: NFS shift

I'll double check but I think I have you on psn Ink.
I just did a little testing with 900 degree steering. WOW!!! With all sensitivities(except speed steering, leave that at 0%) set to 100% and 900 degree steering it now feels mutch more natural. The force feedback is dead on when you hit bumps or tap the gator teeth inside a corner. Keep in mind a dual shock 3 controler will not feel good at these settings. I'm racing with a Logitech driving force GT. Not all wheels come with 900% steering either. Before the patch my gas and brake pedals felt way off too. Now at 100% sensitivity they feel more like they should .
The AI is still a tiny bit weird. When I set them to hard they race great, but I can actualy win easier sometimes cause they arn't flailing all over the track. On easy they just ram you all the way and winning is even harder with the new tweeks to damage model and physics. It would seem that the guage for how hard or easy they are is based off how smart they drive not just how fast they can go. I slammed a few teir 4 races back and forth from hard to easy AI and won them all on hard and struggled on easy. WEIRD!!!

The new tracks are a blast. Seven new cars are really niiiice!!!

it's my belief that all race Sims, should have DLC involving the stig and his various cousins .
