Navy Studying Squid Skin to Create New Camouflage Patterns

Very interesting. We've been hearing of research into "light bending" camouflage before, in order to make people seemingly invisible (ala the creatures in 'Predator'). But this is a interesting concept in and of itself.

Imagine if in the future your uniform could somehow change it's colors or patterns to match the area around it.

Whatever they devise it would have to be non-toxic. I could just see injured warfighters dying because they were poisoned by their uniforms. I can't see the uniform being anything but chemical at this point. Will be very interesting to see what comes from it.
