As a true Star Wars fan, with roughly 8 to 900 dollars of SW toys and merchandise, I am extremely critical of Star Wars and the storyline. Lucas and I have a love hate relationship.
I am also a huge fan of Star Trek but not as critical and find myself accepting any direction the various writers of the Trek universe take me.
As a third option, I'm really a Stargate nerd.

hey I love me some Gate!! all three series!! was soo disappointing when they canceled universe!!
FYI Star Gate is the longest running scifi series in the US...i think second in the world..behind the UK's... Dr. Who!!

Star Wars or GTFO! I was 7 when Star Wars first came out, and I've been hooked ever since. Had a crap load of the toys, including the original Millennium Falcon, Land Speeder, Death Star, etc.
I once got bored during a slow day at work and drew up an entire Power Point presentation on how the movies should be ranked in terms of best to worst and why. I think it went something like this:
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Revenge of the Sith
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace
I "know of" Star Trek, but only bits and pieces of the original series and some of TNG.
Indecision may or may not be my problem.

yeah i was 5 when New Hope hit theaters...my dad took me about a month after and i cried when i saw Darth Vadar!! Scared me silly!! i would rate them in that same order...and till my parents threw out hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of star wars toys i had quite the collection!!

Star Wars geek here. But I love the original Star Trek series. The new movie was a good change imo and I can't wait for the sequel.
Also I think it's funny that there's a Star Trek add for cafepress at the bottom of the screen as I type this.

1. Battlestar Galactica (new and classic)
2. Star Trek (Mostly TOS and then DS9)
3. Star Wars (New Hope thru Return)
