Man I had so much fun playing the second one when I had a 360. I wish I still had my 360 but don't want to get rid of the PS3. My wife doesn't see the point in having two systems and I like the PS3 better.

Well I have all consoles 2 PS3s, 1 Xbox360 and 1 Wii. My wife plays on them all at times(mostly her PS3), but the 360 is getting a bit dusty these days. In fact the Borderlands I sold you dbg was her's after she had beat it.

Have to say I never played any of the Gears of War games. Are the the first 2 worth getting for single player because I don't get on xbox live anymore?

I played the 2nd gears of war first and but decided halfway through to play the first one. The first one was great in its own accord but I really like the 2nd. Its a great storyline and good gameplay. The first is tougher, but the 2nd is more interesting.

I like the sound of beast mode. co-op multiplayer playing as the bad guys, killing humans? sounds good to me

and female characters for the ladies, how nice of them to include timmy
