2nd playthrough, be warned

if you get the Maxed out trophy (fully upgrade all weapons/items) in your first play through, when you start your second it lets you start with all of your stuff maxed out again. The exception so far seems to be when you first get the new blades of exile again, basically you just go from lvl 5 back to level , the other weapons i've gotten again so far stay at max level. now here is the important part: when you get to the three judges the first time you'll probably remember that you use a particular weapon here towards the very end of the game to do a particular thing. Only thing is, you have this particular weapon right now and what's to stop you from doing that particular thing right now and skipping straight to the final battles of the game? well the game stops you. by freezing your PS3. then you have to manually reset it. I tried 4 times tonight to see what would happen and sure enough it freezes every time.


with that said, no one can say i didn't warn them if curiosity gets the best of them

on the bright side, i obviously have now finished the game on titan (hard) and have finished all the challenges :mrgreen: all that stands between me and the platinum trophy is the 1000 hit combo and getting that last godly possession i missed the first time. too bad using godly possessions disable trophies or i could just wizz through the second time and get that last one

as you were. i tried another round about method just for curiosity's sake and i managed to do the "thing" that you do with the "things" without freezing but the cinematic that should then trigger does not so it's a wasted effort anyways, so forget about it because you're at a high risk of freezing the game.

there are however, a few smaller parts you can successfully skip over but what's the fun in that? It's a really sweet game and worth the full second playthrough to see things you may have missed before

ha funny stuff. i was actually playing around a few days ago at the "part" with the "weapon" and it froze me twice so i just moved on as normal.

I did however Plat this bad boy like the 1st week it came out. Damn they need some DL content with this game.

Have you Plat'd any of the other GOW's? I finished up the Trio the other day and damn it feels good to be a gangsta!

i haven't played the collection yet or know if i will but i would like to get the trophies because i'm a trophy whore like that lol.


there is plenty of rumors floating around about DLC for this one but i don't know if there is any solid fact about it yet. When you get the platinum trophy it gives you that web address, further adding to the hints and speculation...

I'll look into it more and report back here when i find anything official
