I need to solicit the help of the true techies. Today, one of my kids was playing High Velocity Bowling on the PS3. Our luck ran out, and the controller went flying and hit the TV screen, thus ruining a 46" Sony Bravia that served my family well the last few years. Our extended warranty didn't cover the damage, so we were SOL. Luckily, the tax refund hit the bank and we were able to head out a couple of hours later and pick up a new one. We got a factory fresh 47" Vizio VL470M at Sam's Club (lots of bells a whistles).
The picture is better than I expected, but it definitely could stand some calibration. I know there are DVDs you can buy to help choose the best settings for your HDTV, but does anyone know if there is anywhere online that you could download and burn the software for a calibration disk? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. See you all on the battlefield (eventually).
