Friday, January 25, 2013: Slew of enticing budget Android tablets have made their way into the crowded tablet segment this year. Brands like Acer, ASUS, Archos, Hyundai have launched their Android-based devices that offer decent-looking hardware specs and are available at an attractive price point. Well, here comes another one! RAmos has unveiled its W42 budget Android tablet in the country.
The most intriguing part about W42 is that, unlike other budget tablets under $200 mark, which come with a 17.7-cm (7-inch) display, this one sports a larger 23.8-cm (9.4-inch) display screen. The W42 as mentioned, comes with a 23.8-cm (9.4-inch) IPS display and runs Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The tablet comes powered by a reported quad-core Exynos processor and 1 GB RAM.
The tablet also offers Mali-400 graphics, which lets users enjoy high quality gaming experience. The display offered is said to have a resolution of 1,280x800 pixels, which will clearly get consumers excited. Apart from the visual excellence, RAmos has fitted a rear camera and front-facing shooter, which enables video calling. The tablet supports 16 GB worth internal storage, which is expandable via microSD. The company has not mentioned anything on the battery front.
Now, the final puzzle of the tablet- RAmos has priced the W42 at under the $200 mark, which should make it highly attractive.
