If you have a Tritton headset here is how to set it up with PS4 (I did notice one thing not on here you have to push the PS button and choose the option about devices then set the chat or all sounds to the head set then it shows up in the device list)
How do I configure my Tritton headset on the PS4?
Digital Headsets:
To configure a Dolby Digital headset (AX720, 720+, AXPro, Pro+) for the PS4, go into the setting menu and navigate to: Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port > Digital Out (Optical). Check the box for Dolby Digital 5.1ch. Make sure that the DTS 5.1ch box is NOT checked.
Connecting a digital headset to the PS4 is the same as the PS3.
Analog Headsets:
The PS4 lacks a direct analog output. To connect an analog headset (AX180, Kunai) to the PS4 there are two options.
Option 1: Connect the analog RCA (red/white) jacks to the audio output jacks on the back of the TV for game audio. Connect the USB cable to the PS4 for chat audio. (See attached image below "PS4 to TV")
Option 2: The Kunai line of headsets feature a 3.5mm breakaway jack and can be connected directly to the PS4 Gamepad. To configure the gamepad to use the headset, go into the PS4 setting menu and navigate to: Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port > Output Headphones and choose All Audio. (See attached image below "PS4 to Gamepad")
To configure chat for a USB connected headset (AX720, 720+, AXPro, Pro+, AX180, Kunai) for the PS4, go into the setting menu and navigate to: Settings > Device > Audio Devices > Headset and Headphones. Locate the name of the Tritton headset and select it for chat audio.
here is a video that may help since reading is hard for those not in the Air Force
