I decided to expand my game library and add Call of Duty: Ghost to my PS4 library and give it a try.

I finished up a round of Battlefield 4 Conquest Large and came in 8th out of 64 players and was feeling my oats and decided it was time for some COD: Ghost MP.

I tried TDM, Kill Confirmed (my favorite so far), Search and Destroy and Search and Rescue and I have never felt the overall need to reach into the game and grab some high pitched white kid wannabe rap star as he yells racial epithets into his mic by the throat and kick his ass so hard his balls finally drop. Then I finally found the mute option and proceeded to keep playing without worrying about prison.

I was expecting dedicated servers because I remembered they had said they would have them at E3 and as I realized it was not severs but P2P I was very disappointed (guess I should have kept up with COD:G news and I would have known).

But I was not too worried since my internet speeds are between 20-35 down and 3-5 up then I was hit with the dreaded Lag Compensation (we can't have little Timmy getting butt hurt because his parents bought the router from a Dollar General store and internet from K-Mart and his brother is downloading porn and his sister is streaming CW on her iPad app and texting every 2 seconds and his parents are streaming House of Cards on Netflix, so let's slow down those that paid for fast internets and make Timmy feel like a star)

But I was not entirely convinced that it was lag I thought it could be Frame Rate issues so I changed my video settings to automatic from 1080p and it helped a bit I noticed COD:G was 720p not 1080p on the PS4.

But after 2hrs of play I am sad to say I have no idea how to play this game without lag or frame rate issues. If its lag compensation then one way is to QOS my Router but instead of giving my PS4 most of the bandwidth I lower it so the game helps me out and punishes the others, but I refuse to do that to my connection on principal.

But I hope some of fine COD:G semiprofessionals and Uber professionals we have on this site can help me out.

Yeah lag comp on CoD is something awful. At least when I played (up to MW3), it seemed to get worse every release. Never had problems on BF (I can play great on a 1.5 Mbps connection, AND a 25 Mbps connection).
