I've made several turkeys, some seafood boils, and what have you with it. One thing I never stopped to think about is reusing the peanut oil after I've deep fried a turkey. Normally, once the fryer cools down I simply dump the peanut oil back into its container and throw it away.

Does anyone else have one of these and can do you know whether or not the peanut oil can be used again?

hmmm..... good question. My family usually does a deep fried turkey in the desert for thanksgiving every year but that's the only time we use it so the oil gets discarded every time.

google turned up this article that is pretty informative:

basically says so long as you didn't burn the oil (over 450 degrees for peanut oil), you filter it, and store it properly, you should be able to keep it for up to 6 months

you can but it is messy, you're better off dumping it.
