Alright I thought I would take the opportunity to make a thread where everyone can show off their "babies." I will start first. Here is my 9mm Smith & Wesson Sigma. It was cheap, only around $250 brand new. I like it and it shoots great for me. Lets see what everyone else is sporting. I am thinking about getting a 22 pistol for my wife, she wants one since she is scared of mine. The next pistol I want for myself is either going to be Smith & Wesson XD or the Smith & Wesson M&P. If you can't tell I like S&W.

i have many many more but i probably wouldn't be able to find pictures of them all and i don't want to make a giant photo album on here
Mom has a strict no-gun policy in her house.
I do have this though for when I go camping/fishing:

I forgot. I also have this axe for splitting smaller logs of wood at home and for camping:

One of these days I'll probably get a machete too for backwoods camping. Then I can feel like I was in the bush too!

Man I had a Ruger 9mm way back Loved it they are the MAC truck of hand guns. I dont have any right now but my wish list has a Sig 40 S&W right at the top. :D
New guy likes rifles.
Here is what I am working with these days.
Chambered for 6mm PPC, Viper drop-port action, Krieger barrel, Jewell trigger (1.5 oz.), Luepold 45X.
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj289/jhciv/908023.jpg
It shoots in the same hole when I do my part, here are 5 rounds at 100yds which can be covered by an aspirin.
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj289/jhciv/IMG_1847A_51.jpg
No use for hunting or home defense, but if you want to shoot a fly at 200 yards, this one will do it.

That's purrty
I'm not too big on guns since i only have that one gun i posted before  so could you explain exactly what that setup is you're using as a front support? looks like it has a timer and is set up to easily adjust position but that's all i really can see. Is it something that they just have at ranges or something perhaps?
The rifle is a centerfire, light varmit, benchrest rifle. Its only purpose is to shoot the smallest groups possible. It is useless and dangerous for anything other than sitting on a bench drilling holes in paper.
The goal is simply to shoot a 5 shot group that measures .000 in. It has never been done. Then do it 5 times in a row. (The diameter of the bullet is subtracted from the group size. The average of 5 groups is used for a score) My best so far has been a .092 group and a .181 5 group aggregate. I have seen groups in the .04 range and an agg of .12. The difference between what I am capable of shooting and the other is the difference between high school and NFL football. It is hard which makes it worth doing.
Supporting the rifle is a front rest. It is a large, heavy, steel support with a joystick. The rest secures the rifle and allows for very quick, very precise adjustments of point of aim. Small changes in wind direction or velocity has noticible effects on point of impact. The joystick allows me to quickly compensate for these changes.
The timer is just a magnetic cheapy kitchen timer. I use it for competitions, which are timed events, and to practice with. It sticks really well to the post and the damn battery is going on 4 years service.
Cheers
did this group at 100 yds with Springfied M1A prone supported with a EoTech Holography site, shooting Hornady .308 A-MAX match
I was more impressed with the M1A than myself, I was very supprised a M1A Standrd was capable of this.

That is an outstanding group, in many ways more impressive than the one I posted. A rifle able to achieve that type of accuracy with factory loads has a dead nut on chamber and barrel. A little tweaking with handloads and you have a .25 moa piece.
Well done.

I have a New England Firearms 12 gauge home defense shotgun. It has an 18 1/2" barrel. Really nice shotgun. I got it for my wife so if something ever happend to me (God forbid), she could still shoot it and defend herself. It's loaded with 000 Buck she really doesn't have to aim it. I still can't figure out how to put pics up on here yet. As soon as I can figure out how in the hell to do it, I will post a pic. Semper Fi!

I collect US Army cars, primarily NASCAR. I'm still in the market for NHRA drag cycles, and a more updated version of the Tony Schumacher dragster. I'm most proud of the dragster in the middle of the top shelf, and the camouflage GI Joe anniversary car on the far right of the second shelf. I really miss firing my M4. The AR15 looks like the identical thing, and I'm interested in purchasing one for messing around out in the country. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they reliable? My main complaint with the M4 was how fast it seemed to gum up with carbon and misfire and lock up. I literally almost threw mine down range when the bastard wouldn't fire one time, XO pulled me off the line LOL.

I am thinking about getting a 22 pistol for my wife, she wants one since she is scared of mine. The next pistol I want for myself is either going to be Smith & Wesson XD or the Smith & Wesson M&P. If you can't tell I like S&W.
I dont mean to correct people but smith and wesson doesnt make the XD Springfield Armory does. Let me tell you its a great pistol mine is my baby ive put 200 rounds through and its shoots great. I got the nine you cant compalin when you can get 100 rounds for $20.

here is a pic of my colt 6920 before I put my optics on it...

I'll upload another one later today... I have since removed the Knights armament foregrip and replaced it with a surefire foregrip x500 I think... with A.R.M.S mounts... I also now have a Trijicon ACOG with mini RMR optic mounted on the top rail... it looks amazing.

There are more but here's a start....the top one is a cheap High Point Carbine in .45 that I bought just so I could play around with modding it and not care if everything went south...turns out I got a reliable little close range knock out punch that goes where it's supposed to every time...all cheap parts too. Total Build was about $425. Only con is single stack mags so even just a 15 rounder is huge and you have to mod 1911 mags to do it. The second one is a DPMS forged upper and lower with standard DPMS AR 15 trigger group re-sprung to about three pounds. .0935" solid stainless fluted bull barrel duracoted 16" long, Magpul Moe stock, Magpul trigger guard, Hogue grip, Troy TRX 13" free floated fore-end, Magpul flip up sights, Nikon BDC 3-9X50, BCM Bolt and carrier group, probably some other stuff I am forgetting but that thing's my mini-sass needle threadin' 5.56 tac driver! 5 round groups at 400 yards in less than an inch baby! Coyotes hate this thing! More to come kiddies....

If I'm reading it right, as long as you don't have plans to sell it to a foreign national, it's legal for a civilian to own.....dependent on state laws, of course. That is, if you want to cough up the $15 grand +.

I stand corrected, is it then class c or whatever full auto is? In Utah you can have supressors as well. (with permit)

Usually the only things under control by the ATF is suppressors, short barreled rifles, and machine guns....as far as I know if you can afford thermal optics you can own them.

Class III/Title 2. But no, it's just a gadget and no biggie (other than a price standpoint).

And short barreled shotguns and "destructive devices". But thermal doesn't fall under any of those.

Have you heard back on the stamp for the rifle? About to put in for mine and wondering how long it's taking for you.

Yeah, but AR pistols are limited in what you can put on them. SBR is really ideal...except for all the hoops you have to jump through, of course.

Agreed. But in a pinch (zombie outbreak, hostess going oob, etc.) , he has a short rifle by virtue of the "top swap". His pistol upper has a free floated fore end w rails. Not long ones, but long enough for an Eotech 512 and a grip underneath, light on the side...not sure exact barrel length. M4 is def the way to go though. And I love having my other AR for longer shooting. Right now I am into trying to group at 800 plus with a 7mm Rem Mag. Very challenging, and fun!

I think pistol length is under 10". But you're right, in a zombie apocalypse, no one cares if you got the tax stamp. Changing uppers takes about 20 seconds
