    Battlefield Bad Company to return?

    Interesting tidbit from here: http://www.polygon.com/2013/10/3/479...-says-director

A third installment in the Battlefield: Bad Company franchise will happen, creative director Lars Gustavsson told reporters at a Battlefield 4 event, clarifying that it won't happen immediately because of the recent spate of newly announced Electronic Arts DICE-developed titles."My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion," Gustavsson said. "And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don't take yourself too seriously.
"So I love it. I want to see it again. Whether it can happen [right] now with the newly announced Mirrors Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront... but we'll see," he said, referring to the new DICE-developed Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront titlesthat were announced for next-generation consoles during EA's E3 2013 press conference in June.
"But trust me, the Bad Company [team] isn't forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation," he continued. "So they are out there, they're coming back."
In August, Frank Gibeau, president of EA Labels said that EA will rotate between three main shooter franchises going forward: Battlefield, Titanfall and Battlefront. The publisher's former strategy of alternating between the Battlefield and Medal of Honor series included Bad Company titles.
Developed by EA DICE for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the jocular Battlefield offshoot series was first published in 2008. Its sequel, Bad Company 2, saw a release in 2010 followed by the Bad Company 2: Vietnam expansion pack that same year.
Also interesting to note the apparent new 3-game rotation schedule

Honestly BF3 did a better job weaving a cohesive story. Even though it wasn't as good as MOH. BC2 just annoyed me with all the dumb stuff they'd say, and it wasn't even funny.

Well, granted BC2 wasn't a multi-faceted storyline like BF3, and maybe it's just me being a Grunt, but I found it hilarious the whole time. Not as funny as the 1st one, but still funny. The MOH story was good, but that's only because it felt ripped off from every good military movie I've ever seen. Not much thought went into that one IMO

See I found the humor in BC2 lame (didn't play BC1), and I found both the MoH campaigns engaging. Both were based off of real missions, which was what made it so engaging. It felt like a movie, but that was a plus, not a minus.

I never played the campaign in BC2 but I didn't notice a whole lot of difference in MP in BF3 vs BC2. What's so different about them?

Some people liked the destruction in BC2 better.
    More weapons in BF3
    More vehicles in BF3
    Slightly better graphics in BF3

Overall, BF3 was better IMO but it was an incremental improvement, not a major one. (Like BF4 seems to be to BF3)

I agree with this statement. I enjoyed BC2 campaign much more. I still need to get on BF3 campaign for a couple more trophies.

BC3 will no doubt be a beast. I think BC along with MAG was one of the biggest games amongst the community.

MW3 after Mag would be my bet. Its basically what finally put xbox over PS3 for the clan.

As for what ends up being big for the clan, that rests solely on how actively we recruit. This 3 month stretch could potentially be amazing for us.

Recon class had offensive gadgets (C4, mortar strike) the UAV's were actually deadly and not only used for spotting. Snipers had ghuille suits and you needed skill to find them. There was no scope sway in BC2 and the rifles shot faster without such a dramatic bullet drop. It was actually pretty predictable on the distance unlike in BF3 where it was really random. You couldnt go prone in BC2 and the Assault class wasnt a medic like it is in BF3. The vehicle splash damage was way larger than it is in BF3, if you shot next to a guy he couldnt run away unharmed. The M-COMS you could destroy without setting the charge and you could destroy your own as well, you cant do any of those in BF3. I really hoped they would have put that in that would eliminate the C4 spammers.
